We’ve shared previously about Fifty by Fifty, a collaborative initiative to bring employee ownership to scale with a goal of 50 million employee owners by 2050 in the United States.  Now they have come out with a new report that explores the relationship between enterprise design and a sustainable, equitable economy.  They found that ownership by workers, combined with mission-driven governance, is an emerging model — viable in today’s economy — that embodies critically needed design elements required for true environmental and social sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Amicus Solar Cooperative was named as a B Corp Best for the World in the Environment and Governance categories for 2018 – our second year earning the Governance distinction, and our first year making the Environment list.  This means we are within the top 10% of all B Corps worldwide for our positive impacts in these categories.  We’re so pleased to have several of our members also earning Best for the World designations in several categories.
